Rilee Rossouw has been ruled of the tri-series in West Indies, where the middle-order Batsman has return back to home to recover from shoulder injury. Rilee Rossouw had sustained shoulder injury during the fielding against Australia in game 3 at Providence Stadium in Guyana.
South Africa Cricket Board announced that Dean Elgar is going to be replaced injured Rilee Rossouw, who had scored 68 runs in the two matches in tri-nation series and been part of the opening stand of 61-run partnership in the first match of the tri-series against West Indies.
The 28-year-old Dean Elgar has played his last One Day International match for South Africa against India in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium in October. Elgar has played only six ODI matches previously for South Africa and he is likely to join with team soon. South Africa will face Australia in their next match on Saturday in Basseterre in St Kitts & Nevis in the fourth match of the 10-game tri-nation series.
South Africa manager Mohammed Moosajee released a statement that Rilee Rossow fell awkwardly on his right shoulder during the fielding in their second One Day International against Australia in Guyana, where he was rushed to take to the local hospital for the X-Rays. He added doctors has confirmed dislocated the AC joint of his right shoulder and he is likely to return back to home for further treatment.
